Ioannidis (Stanford University), defines indicators using, among other things, Elsevier&#8217;s CiteScore, and has been used to compile a list of the \u201cmost cited\u201d authors in 22 major scientific fields, including 174 scientific subfields.<\/p>\n<p>Two lists of researchers were compiled using these indicators from the Elsevier database (SCOPUS).
