Des membres d’IBISC remportent le 2e prix de la catégorie humanoïdes de la Volting Cup, lors de la conférence IROS 2026, pour le projet « Dancing with Live Music » !!! (English version below)

Hang Su (CPJ Univ. Évry, IBISC équipe IRA2), Étienne Largeteau (doctorant IBISC, équipe IRA2) et Yunus Schmirander (doctorants IBISC, équipe IRA2), Wanxin Hu (stagiaire M1 M2P IBISC), Xiaotong He et Feilong Wang (stagiaires M2 EEEA IBISC) ont remporté le 2e prix de la catégorie humanoïdes de la Volting Cup, compétition organisée par le LISV (UVSQ) lors de la conférence IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2026), ayant eu lieu à Pittsburgh, États-Unis, du 27 septembre au 1er octobre 2026, pour le projet « Dancing with Live Music », sous la direction de Samer Alfayad (PR Univ. Évry). Ce projet associe un piano tactile en textile, qui capte la position du toucher et la pression des doigts, à un robot humanoïde Unitree G1 dont la danse suit le tempo et l’émotion de la musique jouée en direct.

IBISC members win Second Prize in the humanoid category of the Volting Cup at IROS 2026 for the project « Dancing with Live Music »!

Hang Su (Junior Professor Chair, Univ. Évry, IBISC IRA2 team), Étienne Largeteau (PhD students, IBISC IRA2 team) and Yunus Schmirander (PhD students, IBISC IRA2 team), Wanxin Hu (first-year Master’s intern, M2P programme, IBISC), Xiaotong He and Feilong Wang (second-year Master’s interns, EEEA programme, IBISC) won the Second Prize in the humanoid category of the Volting Cup, a competition organised by LISV (UVSQ) at the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2026), held in Pittsburgh, USA, from 27 September to 1 October 2026, for the project « Dancing with Live Music« , under the supervision of Samer Alfayad (Full Professor, Univ. Évry IBISC IRA2 team). The project pairs a fabric-based tactile piano, which senses touch location and finger pressure, with a Unitree G1 humanoid robot whose dance follows the tempo and emotion of the live music.
